The State We’re In
The State We’re In is an interactive topical comedy panel show created and hosted by me. Two teams of comedians tackle news, politics, culture and the everyday absurdity of public life.
The show debuted at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and played the Edinburgh Fringe in 2026. It is the clearest bridge between my comedy and public-engagement work: funny, audience-facing and interested in how people make sense of the systems around them.

Comedy and difficult conversations
Comedy is one part of my wider public-engagement practice. Projects including Laughter Lives and Dying Laughing have explored how humour can open conversations about distress, suicide prevention and workplace mental health without trivialising the people at their centre.
